When it comes to ministry here at SSM. We have a simple formula that we have seen work over and over and over again.

JESUS + A CARING ADULT + A STUDENT = GOOD STUFF

That's it. It's not magic, and it's certainly not algebraic. We know that when a caring adult is involved in the life of a student(s), good stuff happens. Will you consider being one of those caring adults? Our team would love to have you join us! We have two primary roles that allow for various levels of involvement: Life Group Leaders and Weekend Leaders.

LIFE GROUP LEADER

A Life Group leader is a student ministry small group leader. Life Groups meet once a week throughout the school year on Wednesday nights for about an hour and a half in homes or at church. Life Group meet ups are comprised of Bible study, relational connection, games, prayer time, etc.

WEEKEND LEADER

Weekend leaders serve at one or more of SSM's weekend services.
Responsibilities include:

  • sitting with students
  • showing enthusiasm for the weekend program
  • leading a grade group

Your primary role on the weekend is to ensure each and every student who attends the weekend service has at least one personal connection with other students and an adult leader.
